Star Trek Into Darkness is awesome. I wondered about a few things how they can happen like that, but overall the movie is awesome.
This evening I’m going to see Star Trek Into Darkness in cinema. I’m excited. And till now I know nothing about the story. I tried to read nothing about it before. So I’m very excited.
Usually I think that original books covers always look better than the covers from the German translation. An exception for that are the Star Trek books that Cross Cult is now publishing since a few years. Especially from the relaunch series. These covers are looking awesome.

If the planets look like planets it’s the new version. If the planets look like a bouncy ball it’s the old version. Also in the old version the Enterprise is only visible from below and always with the same picture. In the new version they have very good animations of the whole ship. The space animations weren’t good in the old version, it was like you could have seen the strings on which the ship was hanging. In the new version it looks really awesome.
saideschain hat gesagt: Maybe it’s because they modified the special effects when it was released on DVD, at some point I’ll watch all of Star Trek but William Shatner overacts too much and it puts me off
I know that the Original series was remastered a few years ago and I have this version on DVD. The Next Generation will be remastered now and released only on Blu Ray. I have a DVD collection from a few years ago, but I guess you’re right and they did something with the special effects.
True with William Shatner, but the Original Series is awesome and he overacts more on the movies than on the series. And with the new digitally remastered version it’s very awesome. Looks better than the Next Generation.
My Star Trek collection is now complete. The only thing that was missing since a few years was The Next Generation. Today the DVD’s arrived and I put one disk of the first season on my DVD player and was surprised how good the quality of a nearly 25 year old show is. The re-runs at TV at the moment are not so good.
After I’ll finished my re-watch of Doctor Who / Torchwood / Sarah Jane Adventures, I’ll re-watch all of Star Trek, all the shows and all the movies. I guess it will take a while. But it’s years ago I watched it all. Sometimes I watch some episodes on TV, because I never can skip the channel when I find Star Trek.
I saw Iron Man 3 today in cinema. The movie is awesome and funny. Now I’m excited next week for Star Trek.
Today we go a new co-worker. She should sit in my office. My other co-worker in the office asked her if she like soccer, but she told that she’s a “Serienjunkie” (the German word for someone who watches a lot of TV series). He told her that she’s sitting in the right office because there’s no TV series or episode I don’t know. She was sceptical and asked me if I know Doctor Who. She expected me to say no, because I was never aired much in German TV and not many people knows it here. So I told her it’s my favorite series. She smiled and said that it’s also her favorite show and she now felt comfortable in our office.
So yeah a Whovian in my office. That makes at least 3 Whovians at my work. And now 5 people who love to watch TV series.

My sister also sees colors. And she feels a single music note. I always noted that letters, numbers, days, months and nearly all the time have a fixed place. But I never thought that most people can’t see it. How is it not to “see” the time? For me the year is a ring and when you imagine a clock January starts on 11 ends with December on 12. So at the moment we’re at 8. And everything is moving on the circle. When I think about something like I want to watch the new Star Trek movie for example that will be released in May I don’t think it’s released in May, instead I have the position on the circle in my head. that also includes the day.
So today I learned that I have Synesthesia. The number form and the time-space form.
So for those who don’t know what Synesthesia is, it means that a stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. So most people who have this are seeing colors. Every letter and every number having an own color and they can maybe see other things in colors, like music or names or people.
But I’m on the 2% who can’t see colors. For me letters and numbers are on a fixed place and when I think of them they appear on their place. And dates are also having a fixed place. The months in a year are a circle for me. The week has an oval form. For me it feels like everything is moving on the circle and on the oval. It’s not good to explain to people who have no idea about it. They can’t imagine to see those things and I can’t imagine how other people think time looks like.
I always thought it’s normal and everyone is seeing it like that. But a while ago I learned that only few people seeing things like forms or colors. And today I learned about Synesthesia.
Reblog if you post about one or more of these shows, I need some blogs to follow beside the other fandoms I already follow:
- Battlestar Galactica
- The Fades
- Star Trek
My Dash seems to calm down. When I logged in today there was Misha everywhere, but now I have more no Misha posts than Misha posts. Not many more but a little bit. The icons are still all Misha.
With all the Misha Icons, I have no idea if it’s something I already reblogged or something of the many blogs I follow who are also Misha today.
